Work it out

So before my car accident in October I had become pretty darn amazing at going to the gym. I signed up to 24 hour fitness in June and from June until my accident I had a routine. I would go to the gym with Erin or Arlyn and do the elliptical for about 45 minutes and then do weights for around 30 minutes. We did this together almost every day, when we slacked it was 4-5 times a week. Still good right?!

Well when my car accident came all of a sudden it was BANNED from my lifestyle. The whiplash injuries made it so I could barely bend, so working out was the last thing my doctor wanted me to do. From October 29th I waited for the day to come where I could work out again. Then came the end of last month, where I finally got the thumbs up from my doctor to start working again. I was ecstatic, thrilled, beyond happy....and one month later I have yet to go to the gym.

It isn't for lack of motivation like you may think, it is because I moved. Now my oh so lovely gym is around 35 minutes away and if you haven't heard my boyfriends jeep loves drinking gasoline just as much as Santa likes giving toys out to candy. So it isn't exactly practical for me to go to my old gym, even though I loved it so much. So I went to find another gym, maybe five to ten minutes away from my house and guess what....that doesn't exist! I somehow found the one area in all of Phoenix that does not have a gym closer then about 25 minutes. *Sigh*

So now what do I do? Cancel my membership and go hiking more often (I love hiking, but hate the 120 degree weather Arizona is about to smack me with). Do I suck up the gasoline and just consider it as part of my cost for my Gym membership? Do I save up to buy my own elliptical and weight set for my house? I just.dont.know.

All I know for certain is I miss working out. I miss the energy and confidence it gives me. I like the break it gives me from my hectic life and I like that I am making a healthier lifestyle for myself.

Hopefully I figure something out soon because I sure do miss it.
