Groupon/Living Social

Okay, let's be real for a second. I LOVE sites like Living Social or Groupon. They are websites that offer amazing discounts. Basically companies lower their price and advertise on those sites, in order to sell a big quantity. So while the products are cheaper (which is great for customers), the company also does well because they get more items purchased. In the last couple of months these are items I have purchased:

  • (Groupon)- 8 laser hair removal sessions for $89. This normally would cost $1,300 and I only paid $89!! Like that's insane to me!
  • (Groupon) $20 worth of Jamba Juice for $5. This means I got four smoothies for the price of one!
  • (Living Social)-Arizona School of Trapeze lesson for $30, normally costs $80. Now unfortunately, I did not get to used this voucher after I purchased it. Apparently they school closed down due to neighbors not wanting to hear the guests coming to the business (complained of hearing too much laughter and screams from when people first try it out). However, I got a 100% full refund for this.
  • (Living Social)- One year Subscription to Cosmopolitan for $6, Normally $15.
  • (Living Social)- Haunted House admissions for 2 for$25,normally $50. That deal works out so basically it was buy one, get one free!
  • (Living Social)- iPhone Charger set that included headphones with microphone, charging dock, wall charger, and car charger for $17. This normally costs $79 PLUS shipping. I spent $17 and shipping was included! Now I may be a little more excited about this deal, because I purchased it literally twenty minutes ago haha.
I love these sites so much that I even have apps for them on my phone. It is becoming more of a habit every time I want to do something, to check the app first and see if I can get it cheaper. The only thing that sucks is when something amazing comes around and you know you shouldn't spend your money on it. For instance, a couple weeks ago they had a skydiving deal. Normally it costs $300 and with this deal it was $160. I loved when I went skydiving and I would love to go again! However, I did not end up purchasing it because I knew I had better use of my money at that time. I sure do hope that deal comes back again though. Anyways, go check out the websites yourself! You really can get some amazing deals. :)
