Tattoos

I have always been able to appreciate art, in fact I enjoy spending time looking at art. I think paintings, photography, and random drawings can (with the right effort) be considered art, and also considered timeless. Take me to a museum and I will absolutely love the abstract section or sit me outside to look at the clouds (my own free abstract art museum). I have an appreciation for design/ art, and my question tonight is are tattoos art?

They start out as an idea, turn into a drawing and then end up on the body. I say yes tattoos are art, however it is an art that is not appreciated by all.

I think that when a tattoo has a meaning then it is alright to get them. However posting Homer Simpson, or your boyfriends name on you is not considered art and should not be placed on your body.


I am curious how many people think a tattoo can make someone more gorgeous, and then also how many people think that a tattoo takes away from someones physical beauty.



I personally do not anticipate getting a tattoo, however I can appreciate my friends tattoos...well the ones that have meaning anyways! ;)
