Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.
The necklace I have on in this picture, has a ton of meaning for me. The necklace was given to me from Marty when I was in high school. She knew how much I loved pearls and so one day she surprised me with this gift. It is not only gorgeous, but it was her great, great grandmother's. To know that she trusted me enough with an item that old, and gorgeous meant so much to me.
When Marty passed away in December, I wore this necklace to her Funeral. I wanted to let her know one last time, just how much I will take care of it. Now, I treasure it so much more each passing day. I also feel that wherever I am, I will always have a part of Marty with me because of this necklace.
I love it.
