A few months ago I participated in a contest that Ellen
Degenere's was having. The contest was to find a hidden object on her
website, daily. The contest ran for an entire month, and I found
every single hidden item. The prize was that someone who participated in
that contest, would win a 2012 Chevy Cruise. Seeing as I needed (and still do for that fact lol)
a car, I was very excited that the contest was over. It meant that I was one step closer
to winning that car! So I decided to "tweet" Ellen to tell her I participated in it every day! After all of
that hard work, what did I get? I got this.....
Ellen tweeted me back, saying "Thank You." Did I win the car? No, but at least I
got a mention from someone famous. That is pretty cool right?
Then recently AnTjuan and I decided to participate in the "Health and Wealth Raffle" where
you can win one million dollars, a house, a car, flat screen tvs, etc. We decided even if
we did not win, this would be nice because they donate their money to St. Joseph's Hospital
and Barrow Neurological Institute. So that is pretty awesome, you get to donate money
to a great organization AND get the chance of possibly winning one million dollars?
Sssswwwweeeeeeetttttt
Flash forward to opening our email and seeing an email received from the Health and Wealth
Raffle with a subject line that says this "YOU ARE A WINNER!!!!!"
Now I get pretty excited wondering if we won a car, the money, new television, or who
knows what, but I know we won something cool!
So I open up the email to find out that we won this:
It is a Salter Nutri-Weigh Dietary Computer Scale.......it is also the very LAST item on the
list of possible things you can win. So to me life is funny. I keep coming close, but not exactly winning
the big prizes. All well, next time will be my third try and they said that is the lucky try right?
Hey, on the plus side IF I do get lucky in the next contest and win a chunk of money, at least
I can weigh it and now exactly how much one million dollars weighs. :p
(One can dream right?!?)
