The last couple days I have spent researching about new computers. You see mine is old and very worn down (as in wires are showing, certain keyboard buttons don't work, and it has to be plugged in otherwise it doesn't work. It is a portable laptop, yet I can't take it anywhere!!).
So I knew with my next computer purchase I wanted to buy an Apple product. They are a nicer quality, and are built to last longer then say a Dell laptop will. So this left me with having to decide between an iPad, Macbook Air, or Macbook Pro.
Originally, I was thinking that I would get an iPad. It is the cheapest
option, and extremely portable. Then once I looked into it more I
realized (yes, this may sound stupid) that the iPad is just a giant
iPhone (which I already have). On top of that they do not have much
storage and typing can be a bit harder. So after three months of being
sure I was getting and iPad, I axed that plan last night.

So that meant I had to choose between the Macbook Air or Macbook Pro. For the 13" model they both start at the same
price point so it is a draw between the two financially.
Here are the differences I found:
AIR:
*Very thin and light. Makes binging your laptop on the go, not so much of a hassle.
*Better Screen Display then the PRO

Macbook Air |
*No cd/dvd drive
PRO:
*More advanced programs
*Can be considered pretty bulky for a laptop
*Has a cd/dvd drive
Looking between the two there really is not that much of a difference. I have decided, for me, the best option is the 13" Macbook Air Laptop. It is a more modern design so in three years when I still have the same laptop it won't look so out dated. I also like that it has the better screen display. Will I miss having a cd/dvd drive? I don't think so. Plus, if I decide one day I just can't live without it any longer I can buy an external drive for $70.
So now I have to save up. The goal is to have this as a birthday gift to myself. Which means every hour of overtime or any extra cash I come across (including my birthday money) will be going towards this. The downside is my birthday is 53 days away. Which means 1. I have to start saving NOW, if I even want to come close to getting this for myself and 2. I still have at least another 53 days with this old raggy computer.
What computer do you use? If you were to purchase a computer tomorrow, which would you get?
I know this is one of my more boring posts BUT I researched for hours yesterday comparing all of the models and just wanted to share my knowledge haha.
Let the saving begin....
