I have been extremely busy the past two weeks not only because of school, but because of all the recruitment stuff I had to do with Alpha Delta PI. Recruitment began last Friday and went until Monday night. It was an exhausting way to spend labor day weekend but well worth it. Everyday was spent in heals (about nine hours a day) and talking non stop to girls going through recruitment. I was very surprised that I did not lose my voice this year because last year it went away within the first day. However, I did not get away completely unharmed... my poor feet ended up getting some painful blisters on them.

Tuesday we had our bid day which is when we got to find out who all of the new lovely Alphas of the house would be. (Alphas are new members, Deltas are active members like myself, and PIs' are alumni). We ended up getting about 40 new girls to join the house this semester. It was not as big as some of our other pledge classes, but the girls are absolutely amazing. I will definitely take quality over quantity. :)
We have had a lot of events this week to help the Alpha members meet everyone in the house. On Tuesday night we rented out Skateland and had a sisterhood there. Everyone was wearing flower head bands, 70 looking shirts, and knee high socks.
Then on Wednesday we had strawberries and cutie pies which was held at Adelphi (where I live). This night we just sat around eating a bunch of cakes and cookies talking to one another.
Thursday night we had our bid night with one of the fraternities on campus. The them was Millionaires and Trophy Housewives. I was unable to go to this because I had to be at work the next morning at 6:30. I figured I would stay in a get a good nights rest.
Friday we had another social with a different fraternity and the theme this time was CMT (Country Music Television) VS BET (Black Entertainment Television). It was really interesting to see how everyone dressed up and I had a blast.
I now have a little who joined the house last fall (Aubry) and a Grand-Little (Liz) who is Aubrys little that joined the house this semester. I absolutely love my little family in the sorority and have a feeling that this is going to be an extremely fun year!
Have to make my senior one the best out of the four. :)
